Stan Whitaker ~

Stan is a founding member of Happy The Man, playing with them during their classic period in the ’70s. After the band broke up in 1978, Whitaker formed a band called Vission. By 1985 he had moved on to his next group, One by One, and in 1992, Avalon. He has guested on albums by Ten Jinn, The Carl Hupp Project, John Palumbo, and others. Bill Brasso ~

Bill has played drums and percussion for several Washington, DC/Baltimore-based bands since the ‘70s, including Dawn’s Dusk, Inside Strait and Whisper, and most recently with Flipside. He has also worked on albums by Anita Patton and Sweetwater. His percussive influences, including Bill Bruford and Mike Portnoy, have provided the framework to merge with this “extraordinary ensemble of musicians”.

 

 

Dave Hughes ~

Dave Hughes, bassist, is a 38 year veteran of Baltimore’s pop, rock and jazz scenes. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he holds a Bachelor’s degree with a major in 20th century composition. In the late 1980s and early ’90s Dave was a member of the city’s premier jazz fusion ensemble, Jazz Happens. Following this stint he played with the classic pop act Flipside, a group that included Oblivion Sun drummer Bill Brasso. No stranger to the recording studio, Dave has played on numerous artists’ CD projects, including the efforts of singer/songwriter Ron DeFillipo and Annapolis vocalist Anita Patton O’Connor, the latter for whom he served as engineer, arranger and co-producer as well. Dave cut his teeth learning every nuance of Paul McCartney’s mastery on the Sgt. Pepper’s album, and lists Chris Squire, Joe Osborne, Colin Moulding and Victor Wooten as equally major influences.
